Birthday
Someone is bugging me to post about what I did for my birthday. I turned the big 2-9 on April 20, which happened to coincide somewhat with the weekend we wanted to have a little housewarming get-together. My BFF Blair and her family came down from Atlanta for that event, and Blair made sure I had a cake with candles to blow out, even though the purpose of having friends over that day was to break in the new digs.

Samantha puts the finishing touches on Becca's pasta salad, which she brought over for Becca since Becca had to work and would be a little late to the party.

Spinach-artichoke dip and layered taco chip dip:

Lee mans the grill:

Becca and my dad enjoy some dip and the atmosphere:

Friends:

There are lots of little kids in our life right now, which is so much fun. Lee set up a bubble blower, the the kids ran around in the bubbles. Much cuteness ensued.
Nora:

Olivia:

Nora and Jason:

Donovan:

Penelope was not interested in hot dogs, hamburgers, pasta salad, or chips. She wanted ketchup. Since there is no easy way to serve ketchup on its own, I squirted it on a hot dog bun, which she sucked on happily, finally consuming half and leaving the other half in someone's chair.

Caaaake.

My friend Jim, the karaoke DJ, brought over his equipment, and we sang some tunes.

Travis and Meagan:

So that was Saturday, the 18th. The next day, my family took me to Red Lobster, where I enjoyed some deeeeelicious king crab legs.
Penelope enjoyed some more ketchup:

I got the singing birthday treatment.

Samantha missed me blowing the candle out, so I had to pose. Had to.

Next time, I'll post pictures of the house!
